Description:
Caillou Blanc is the white wine from Chateau Talbot and is a Fourth Classified Growth of 1855, in the village of St Julien. This wine from the Bordeaux Blanc appellation comes from a 5-hectare vineyard. The vines have an average age of 47-years-old and they are planted in Medoc gravel. The wine is aged in barrels (47% in new barrels) and on it lees and with stirring for 8 months. The blend consists mostly of Sauvignon Blanc and complemented with Semillon. The Semillon gives the wine a superb concentration. The Caillou Blanc 2016 Chateau Talbot combines freshness and an aromatic palette of great complexity.
